Inspiration Corporation has released its annual report for the 2011 fiscal year.
The report includes comprehensive financial information from July 2010 to June 2011 and includes donor lists and program outcomes.
Despite a difficult economic climate during the 2011 fiscal year, Inspiration Corporation was able to continue to help Chicagoans in need transform their lives and achieve self-sufficiency. With the opening of Inspiration Kitchens – Garfield Park in May, Inspiration Corporation expanded its reach into an area of the city desperately in need of services and support.
Major achievements for the last fiscal year include:
- The Housing Program provided 154 housing subsidies with supportive services and placed 28 formerly homeless individuals and families in apartments.
- Inspiration Kitchens and The Employment Project placed 150 men and women into jobs and 58 people into further education and training opportunities.
- Our wonderful volunteers and staff served 31,171 nutritious meals at Inspiration Cafe and The Living Room Cafe.
