We are pleased to announce that the employees of Conagra Brands in Chicago are our June 2017 Volunteers of the Month!
Conagra became a new supporter of Inspiration Corporation in the spring of 2017, making a generous grant through the Conagra Brands Foundation in support of our Meals
program at Inspiration Cafe.
On May 17, a group of their dedicated employees visited the Cafe in person to increase their impact on our mission by volunteering their time and talent. Conagra employees laced up aprons in the kitchen and prepared trays of hot, nutritious food for a community meal that would serve more than 115 hungry people the following Monday at Inspiration Kitchens in Garfield Park.
The volunteers also assisted our Operations staff with a wide variety of maintenance projects to help keep Inspiration Cafe running smoothly, from cleaning the dining room, to assisting with a project to reorganize our storage space.
