After serving a short time in prison, Antonio was working on his GED when he enrolled in the Foodservice Training program. He graduated with flying colors, and now works as a line cook at Inspiration Kitchens – Garfield Park.
“I come in here, and the outside world is gone. I’ve never had anything like that, and Inspiration Kitchens changed my life. And I love you all for that.”

One Inspired Evening is Inspiration Corporation's annual fundraiser including art, fantastic food and great people! This year, we are excited to have a new venue and a new date.
Highlights of the event will include a juried art auction by artist and managing director of Firecat Projects Stan Klein, and artist, founder/director of the Chicago Printmakers Collaborative Deborah Maris Lader, and Chicago business owner Steven E. Gross. It will feature more pieces from local and national artists; as well as cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres buffet catered by Inspiration Kitchens, our food service training program and social enterprise, with restaurants in Garfield Park and Uptown. Special thanks to Italian Village Restaurants for their generous donation of cocktails and wine. Click here to view all of this year's art to be auctioned off!
We share our heartfelt appreciation to this year's co-chairs, Elisabeth Payne and Wendy Raymer. This evening would not be possible without the dedicated One Inspired Evening committee and volunteers who devote countless hours to making it a success.
To view all the festive photos from last year's event, visit Real Life Weddings and purchase your own keepsake from the evening!
