We’re excited to announce our new partnership with Roland Foods! We received our first donated shipment from Roland the other day, and are so grateful for their support and generosity!
The recipe behind Inspiration Cafe is simple: take some program participants, add in a few wonderful volunteers and a hot nutritious meal, stir, and serve warm, 365 days a year. A far cry from a soup kitchen, Inspiration Cafe is a place where Chicagoans in need can come and get a dignified meal; they sit, order, and enjoy food made from scratch to order by our wonderful staff and volunteers. While there, they get the chance to engage with a supportive community, talking about daily events and personal struggles, and sharing opportunities for growth and self-sufficiency.
Thankfully, we have corporations like Roland foods, contributing the literal ingredients for the meal, making the entire experience possible. The agency serves over 20,000 meals annually to improve participants’ health and wellness, using necessities like those pictured about to make this program a reality!
