September was a very busy month at Inspiration Corporation, here’s a brief wrap-up and a few thanks to the groups that held fundraising events during the month for our organization.
The month started off with a roar, thanks to Italian Village Restaurants for hosting their 16th Annual Ferrari Fest. This fun family event featured a showcase of over 60 vintage Ferraris, kids’ activities, live music and a fabulous raffle. Guests also enjoyed the tastiest Italian buffet this side of the Atlantic!
A big thank you to the Capitanini Family and the Italian Village Restaurants for generously donating the proceeds to Inspiration Corporation and Lurie Children’s Hospital.
Over 150 golfers hit the beautiful Links at Carillon for the Kenway Consulting 4th Annual Golf Outing. The weather was great and the golf pants were loud during this fun charity event. The delicious food and fun raffle prizes (there was even a Caddyshack basket) were never-ending and everyone went home feeling like a winner.

Inspiration Corporation held its annual staff picnic in the middle of the month, with a Double Dare – 80s retro theme. Everyone decked themselves out in their best outfit reminiscent of the decade. It was a perfect afternoon for grilling, playing games and relaxing. Special thanks to the CARE committee for putting it together, and DJ Joe Black for providing the perfect tunes for the day.
A group of staff members spent a Saturday in sunny Marseilles (no, not in France) competing in the DirtRunner Challenge, with part of the day’s proceeds going to Inspiration Corporation. This grueling 5K run, jump, swim, crawl, vault and climb tested the strength and endurance of everyone involved. While there were plenty of cuts, bruises and sore Sundays for those who competed, there were no serious injuries, and everyone vowed to make a return trip next year.
