After a comprehensive external search, Steven Redfield has been selected as Inspiration Corporation’s Chief Program Officer.
Steve has 30 years’ experience in organizational leadership, planning and development, leadership training, program design and management and outcome measurement and evaluation.
Steve most recently served as the Managing Director of Training and Related Services for Coro National, a national system of leadership development programs, where he was responsible for developing new leadership curricula, establishing standards for program evaluation, staff development, supporting the national Board of Governors, and coordinating with the national alumni association. Most recently, he has overseen the development of a new social enterprise initiative to expand Coro’s reach in the coming years.
Prior to his work at Coro National, Steve worked for STRIVE, Inc., an international network of job training programs for chronically unemployed, low income youth and adults, overseeing training and staff development, technical assistance, reporting and quality control, and new affiliate start-up for the network of affiliates in the United States, Great Britain and Israel. He joined the network-wide STRIVE staff in 2003, after founding the Chicago STRIVE affiliate in 1990 and serving as its Executive Director for 13 years.
During that period he served as President of the Chicago Jobs Council, Chair of the Illinois Job Corps Business and Industry Council, and Chair of the United Way of Chicago’s Human Capital Development Needs Assessment Committee. He was also a member of the Advisory Board of Loyola University’s Center for Urban Research and Learning, the Governor’s Commission on the Status of Women, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s Advisory Council on Agriculture, Labor and Small Business.
Steve holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy Analysis from Claremont Graduate Schools, an undergraduate degree from Yale University, and is a graduate of the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs.
His many years of experience connecting low-income adults and youth to employment will make him an excellent addition to Inspiration Corporation’s staff.
