During his incarceration for his participation in a robbery, Benjamin became determined to help change the story for others. After joining our programs upon his release, he was able to complete his Bachelors Degree with help from our Lori Jericho Memorial Education fund. He is now pursuing his Masters Degree and using his insight to be a mentor and advocate for youth involved in the justice system. Click here for more of Benjamin's story.
Author and long-time Inspiration Corporation volunteer, Karen Skalitzky, dispels the misconceptions surrounding homelessness. It contains first-person accounts by some of Chicago's most diverse voices, collected from the men and women of Inspiration Corporation. These true stories challenge modern preconceptions of homelessness and demonstrate how this often "faceless" problem affects everyone, regardless of race, color, creed or economic status.
