During the COVID-19 outbreak, Inspiration Corporation modified and expanded services to protect the health and safety of both participants and staff, while providing vital services to vulnerable Chicagoans.
Inspiration Corporation’s Foodservice Training program has pivoted to provide virtual training to new students, while offering additional supportive services to graduates of the program. The Housing Services program has also bolstered supports for residents, working to protect the health and wellbeing of participants and ensuring they have the supplies and services needed in the midst of the pandemic. The Meals program transitioned to a to-go model and has expanded drastically to meet the increased need, and the agency began offering drop-in case management to community members accessing meals in need of additional support.
In an atmosphere of dignity and respect, Inspiration Corporation helps people who are affected by homelessness and poverty to improve their lives and increase self-sufficiency through the provision of social services, employment training and placement, and housing.
