We are so pleased to name the Northwestern Community Development Corps (NCDC) volunteer group as the September Volunteers of the Month for their incredible service to our organization, specifically at Inspiration Cafe in Uptown! “NCDC is a student-run organization that seeks to engage students in community development,” (www.ncdcnorthwestern.org), and they have been an incredible asset to our community of participants who look forward to seeing them every week during the school year.

We’ve worked with a number of different students from this group over the past 5 years, over which time these volunteers have donated over 650 hours of their time to our Meals Program. In addition to serving weekly meals as a group throughout the school year, a number of individual students have even been dedicated enough to help us out during their summer break!

Outside of meals, some students have also supported Inspiration Corporation’s fundraising efforts, specifically as servers for our Anniversary Dinner event (see photo). This fast-paced event is dependent on volunteer support, and the NCDC students who helped out were a major part of its success.

We’re looking forward to another year with the NCDC volunteer group – thank you for all you’ve done for Inspiration Corporation!
