Ta’Sha first came to Inspiration Corporation through a referral from an emergency shelter where she had been staying with her nine children, whose ages range from one to twelve. Before this referral, some nights they would stay with friends, all ten of them trying to share one bed in a single room.  For Ta’Sha, the referral was, “The happiest moment of my life, seeing my kids’ faces when they heard.” She was able to move her family out of the shelter and into a four-bedroom apartment where her kids can be kids again.   Ta’Sha’s case worker also started working with Ta’Sha to think about what she might want to do next after gaining stability and security. She told us, “Getting housing opened new doors, better doors, for me. It stopped me worrying.” After almost a year in her new home, Ta’Sha decided to enroll in our 12-week Foodservice Training program and pursue employment in the culinary industry to help provide for her kids.  Ta’Sha has graduated from the program and just finished her first week of a new job. We are proud of all Ta’Sha has done for herself and her family!
